Job description 

Epiroc will further increase the focus on improving the supplier management for the Travel area. We are therefore looking for a Global Category Manager Travel with the mission and ambition to develop/build-up a global key supplier base with the aim to improve availability, risk mitigation and optimize costs. 

This position is located in Örebro and reports to the Indirect Sourcing Manager. However, the daily work will also be carried out in close cooperation with the local travel administration resources worldwide. 

The main mission will be to: 

  • Support the overall Epiroc sourcing strategy and active in the Epiroc strategy in the growth ambition and to achieve a higher efficiency level
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with local and regional travel resources to ensure the successful implementation of the sourcing strategy and optimized TCO
  • Focus on critical travel contracts and manage and review current travel agreements
  • Review/Renegotiate existing AC-group contracts due to the split
  • Risk mitigation
  • Supplier management
  • Create a standard way of managing Travel agreements

Educational and experience requirements

University degree with a few years of experience from indirect strategic sourcing and project management. 

The ideal candidate should also have a strong customer focus and a solid supply chain understanding.

As the position is global, a good command of English (verbal and written) is a must. You must also be willing to travel internationally.

Personality requirements

We are looking for a dynamic and result-oriented person with an openness to changes and a proactive approach. In order to be successful, you have a strong personal drive and extensive analytical skills. In addition, you are a cooperative team member but also have good leadership skills.

This position requires very strong communication skills to negotiate with suppliers, work effectively via teleconferences with global team members, work closely with local colleagues and to present performance results to upper management.

Company presentation

Atlas Copco's Board of Directors announced in January 2017 that it would initiate work in order to propose to the Annual General Meeting in 2018, to decide on a split of Atlas Copco into two parts. Atlas Copco will focus on industry and Epiroc will focus on mining, infrastructure and natural resources industries.
